At the beginning of this June, when the government’s 50% registration reduction policy ended, the Japanese joint venture launched a registration incentive program for two versions of Innova 2.0E and G, with a value of about 15 million VND.

However, depending on the sales consultant and agent, users can get an additional discount of about 5 million in cash and some accessories such as dash cams, insulation stickers.

“Customers can sign a car deposit contract this month to receive preferential programs. However, the car may take until July to arrive at the dealer depending on the version and color. The lack of general components makes the company not can deliver the car right away,” said sales consultant in Hanoi.

This move took place in the context that Toyota Innova continuously recorded meager business results for many months, thereby losing its position in the MPV segment. The new options have many advantages in terms of performance and economy, making Innova even more sliding.

Specifically, in April, Innova achieved sales of 91 units, accumulated since the beginning of the year reached 657 vehicles. MPV that once dominated the segment is now far behind competitors or the same product as Veloz and Avanza Premio. Toyota’s two rookie MPVs achieved total sales of 2,170 vehicles. Meanwhile, Mitsubishi Xpander has achieved nearly 10 times more sales than Innova since the beginning of the year.

Car shortages due to supply disruptions were recorded at many auto dealers and happened to many automakers. Many cars from popular to picky are in the same condition. Users may have to sign and wait up to a month to receive the car, even have to buy more accessories, pay the difference to buy a car.
