Washing strawberries with only water is like eating insect eggs, adding 2 new ingredients is completely clean

Strawberries are a favorite fruit of many people because of their delicious and nutritious taste. Many people have a habit of washing strawberries with water and then eating them directly. The chef shared, to wash strawberries, we need to add 2 more ingredients to wash them, so what are those ingredients, let’s refer to the method below:

Prepare:

– Strawberry

– Salt

– Baking soda

Making:

Buy strawberries and wash them under the faucet to remove some basic dirt on the outside of the skin.

Add 1 teaspoon salt + 1 teaspoon baking soda in a large bowl.

Then add a sufficient amount of warm water to the bowl. Stir until the salt and baking soda dissolve.

Then add clean filtered water.

Place the strawberries in a bowl, stir gently with your hands, and then soak the strawberries for about 5 minutes.

After soaking, pour out all the water in the bowl, rinse the strawberries under running water to wash away the baking soda and salt remaining on the strawberries, and remove the stalks of the strawberries.

Rinse the strawberries again with cold water.

We can understand that, baking soda and fine salt can help remove dirt and insect eggs on strawberry skins. Strawberry skins are very thin, so dilute the baking soda and salt mixture or it will damage the strawberry skin.

You should not use too much force to wash the strawberries, but gently. After cleaning thoroughly, cut off the stem of the strawberry to prevent impurities from seeping into the strawberry.
