“Binance will comply with Vietnamese law”

On the morning of June 4, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao attended the Vietnam NFT Summit 2022 event in Hanoi, organized by the Vietnam Blockchain Association. The head of a major cryptocurrency exchange has many notable shares about blockchain technology.

“Blockchain is more than just a cryptocurrency”

Changpeng Zhao said that blockchain technology in the past few years is creating unprecedented changes in many fields, from economy and finance to culture and education.

However, in Vietnam blockchain is still limited in practical application. Many people think that this technology is only associated with the cryptocurrency industry.

When asked about how many people only see blockchain as a short-term money-making opportunity, Changpeng Zhao affirmed that blockchain is the future of technology and that he is investing in it.

“Blockchain is not just a cryptocurrency or a digital asset, but much more. This technology can be used in electronic identification, real estate digitization, copyright protection or software distribution,” said Binance CEO.

According to Zhao, art is also an area where blockchain technology can help develop in the earliest and most reasonable way. Although not many Vietnamese people are interested, he thinks that art will pioneer in applying blockchain to life.

“I myself did not think that art would be one of the first fields to apply blockchain technology so successfully,” Mr. Zhao shared.

Bridge for international cooperation on blockchain

Within the framework of the event, Vietnam Blockchain Association and Binance announced cooperation on research exchange, blockchain technology application, human resource training in Vietnam and internationally.

The association will work with Binance to focus on researching and developing blockchain technology applications in many fields from centralized finance to new technology trends such as NFT, Web 3, Metaverse… Through connection programs , the association will also promote personnel training and attract international investment in Vietnam.

Mr. Changpeng Zhao believes that blockchain is a new technology for the digital economy. Many countries are determined to grasp and properly apply blockchain technology to life.

“I think that clear and effective regulation is essential for blockchain to be applied in every corner of life, not just cryptocurrencies, DeFi or NFT,” shared the CEO of Binance.

According to Phan Duc Trung, Vice President of the Vietnam Blockchain Association, the cooperation of the Binance platform with the Vietnam Blockchain Association is a big step forward, laying an important premise for promoting the development of blockchain technology, contributing to the development of blockchain technology. in the process of national digital transformation.
