Thinking about the wedding with only 1 month left makes me sad

Duy and I have been in love for more than a year, because Duy and I are not young anymore, his parents keep urging us to get married. Honestly, I don’t even want to get married Because we haven’t been together for a long time, there are still many things we don’t know about each other, but the boyfriend’s parents constantly call my parents to tell their daughter to get married soon.

Duy’s parents also came to my house to talk and discuss a wedding for two children. I also accepted to marry Duy, the time to hold the wedding ceremony took place nearly 1 month. As planned, after I get married, I will go back to my husband’s house, and then consider living separately.

Duy and I together plan a lot of things for the wedding, including taking wedding photos, buying wedding rings, buying wedding room furniture…

Normally, I know that my lover lives a simple and thrifty life, so I don’t ask for anything or force my lover to spend money on me. But soon to be husband and wife, I see that is not okay.

When taking wedding photos, Duy took me to many photo shops, mainly to check prices, then find the cheapest place to negotiate wedding photos.

Listening to Duy complain, adding and removing pictures one by one, I was bored. Even the photo shop people are bored and don’t want to talk, but because they keep their reputation, they still have to satisfy customers with high requirements, but the price must be cheap.

When it came time to buy a wedding ring, this money Duy and I had collected together before, so now it makes sense to use it to buy a wedding ring. In the gold shop, I tried on many beautiful rings that fit my hand, but Duy did not hesitate to ask the shop owner to take it off and buy a pair of cheap rings.

Seeing that I was not satisfied, he scolded me: “It’s just a formality, after marriage, few people wear wedding rings. How much money do you have left to get married, don’t rush to ask for it.”

Going to the wedding dress shop, my fiancé also humiliated me. So many beautiful sets, modern style, I tried and looked at it in front of the mirror and felt very satisfied, but he criticized all kinds of clothes as revealing, which were flashy and chose for an old, very cheap dress.

I angrily said that I rented it near my house and paid for it myself, he was so happy when he saw that:That’s right, I just rent a wedding dress near my house for convenience, choose whichever one you like.”

Tired of going around all day, it was late afternoon, so Duy and I stopped at the market to buy food to take home to make a hearty meal. Going to the market, seeing how Duy held up each fish, rummaged through each shrimp, and asked for every penny, the sellers had to get angry and chase them away without selling.

That’s when I asked myself:My future husband here?“. Going around the market, in the end, I could only buy a few ounces of meat, a few bags of tofu and a bunch of vegetables to “treat” the fiancé.

I come from an ordinary family, do not require material things, but am afraid that my husband will be a miser, calculating every penny with his wife and children, not saving. I also think that I am disrespected when all my wishes are rejected by him, regardless of what I think.

Thinking about the wedding, which is only about a month away, I feel sad, insecure about an incompatible marriage.

I still have not registered my marriage, still have the opportunity to think carefully to decide about my life. Should I accept the marriage or frankly talk to Duy to cancel the marriage?
