Long An house has an area of 300 m² attracted by the long and sloping roof and the traditional red tile roof.
The beveled wall encloses the front yard, the back yard and the entire main space of the building.
The project was designed by the design team Tropical Space.
The house has a traditional structure with three separate compartments, a sloping roof, but uses a strong, modern architectural language.
The design team divides the roof into two parts and has a courtyard; then allocate two corridors to connect the roof.
This way created a courtyard and large walls.
The traditional house is stretched from front to back to create continuous functional spaces.
The buffer space creates a transition of light from the courtyard into the living room, dining room and bedroom.
A transitional lake between spaces, this lake will reduce the amount of heat in the house when it is hot.
The design team has created a continuous space between indoor and outdoor functions, so that the children can freely play and move without being constrained by separating walls.
The kitchen area and other functional spaces are arranged in the north and along the house. This layout is convenient for traditional cooking when many family members come in and out to visit.
The mezzanine floor has two bedrooms, a relaxation area, a reading room and a long corridor connecting all spaces in the house through two ends of the stairs.
The extended corridor connects living spaces together.
The space between the house is the way to get light and wind into the house.
The outstanding project in the countryside of Long An.
