The handsome butcher “cut the hearts” of thousands of women in Hong Kong

The South China Morning Post reported that fans called Samuel Lau Sung-wai, 36, by the intimate name “Wai Wai”. He has a loyal following on a fan-founded Facebook group of about 16,000 members.

With her blond hair, toned arms, tattoos on her body and wearing silver jewelry, Lau looks to stand out from the salespeople around.

Many housewives, middle-aged women and even men went to Lau’s butcher shop – located at the market on Yeung U Street, Tsuen Wan Town – to take souvenir photos with this handsome guy. Some people even buy pieces of pork that Lau herself chooses and cuts as souvenirs.

Lau’s story was also published by an English news portal and appeared in popular social media groups such as “Subtle Asian Traits” and “Subtle Cantonese Traits”. He was also interviewed by TVB. Currently, Lau owns an official food channel on YouTube and an Instagram account, thereby helping to showcase her culinary talents.

Lau happily admits that his life has changed since becoming a “butcher’s marshal”. His cooking videos are being sponsored by a public utility company.

Despite being famous, Lau modestly said that he will not give up his daily job because it brings a stable income.
