On the afternoon of June 4, at Km 472 + 950 Ho Chi Minh Road, the section through Hop Nhat hamlet, Bao Hieu commune, Yen Thuy district, Hoa Binh province, there was a particularly serious traffic accident when cars were in traffic. The traffic on the road was crushed by an overturned dump truck.
The survivor of the accident was identified as Mr. Ha Van Th. (20 years old, living in Canh Nang town, Ba Thuoc district, Thanh Hoa province).
3 people who died are Mr. Pham Van T. (31 years old) and Ms. Nguyen Thi H. (60 years old, living together in Canh Nang town); Ms. Pao Thi H. (37 years old, residing in Khanh Vinh district, Khanh Hoa province).
On the morning of June 5, Mr. Trinh Van Hung – Chairman of the People’s Committee of Canh Nang town, Ba Thuoc district said that right after receiving news that a citizen in the area had a catastrophic accident in Hoa Binh, the town’s leader joined the unions to visit and encourage the families of those in trouble, to provide post-mortem support for the deceased.
Mr. Hung said the only survivor in the incident was Mr. Th. only minor injuries.
“During the accident, Mr. Th crept out of the seat and lay close to the floor of the car, so he was lucky to escape death…”, Mr. Hung said about the reason Mr. Th. miraculous survival.
Yesterday, Mr. Khuat Viet Hung, Vice Chairman in charge of the National Traffic Safety Committee also led the delegation to the scene of the accident to visit the victims and encourage their families. At the same time, directing the authorities to urgently analyze and clarify the cause of the tragic accident.
The whole serious accident was recorded by the dash cam on a car going behind. According to the image from the video, the dump truck was moving at high speed, when it met an excavator traveling in the same direction in front, it turned sharply to the opposite lane to avoid a collision.
However, when just encroached on the opposite lane, the dump truck overturned and hit a car coming from the opposite direction.
