10 indispensable items in hand luggage when traveling on summer days

There are many ways to pack carry-on baggage when traveling, but sometimes the “what” is more important than the “how”.

Here is a list of personal items, including “must have” items for carry-on luggage every time you travel. Many of these small items also deserve a permanent place in each of your flights.

A clean t-shirt

Never underestimate a simple t-shirt. You must be thinking, why should I carry a new t-shirt in my personal luggage?

But, think of a kid, or someone accidentally spilling a can of orange juice or coffee on you. At this point, sitting still with a wet shirt for the rest of the long flight is an uncomfortable thing. Always carry a lightweight T-shirt in your bag.

A pen

Most people spend most of their time staring at their smartphone or tablet, or other electronic devices during the flight. But, a pen is useful if you want to do magazine crosswords, fill out customs forms, or simply doodle something interesting.

A pack of gum

According to studies, chewing gum or sucking on hard candy will stimulate regular swallowing, help balance air pressure, avoid tinnitus or discomfort.

Backup charger

Think of that regretful moment when you get a low battery notification on your phone and know there’s nothing you can do about it. Don’t fall into this situation unprepared. Investing in a portable charger will give you a chance to fight boredom, especially with long flights.

Sunglasses/eye cover

Basically, you can’t always ask for window coverings on a flight. So, it’s much easier to prepare yourself a pair of sunglasses or a sleeping mask than to engage in a pointless argument with a stranger.

Deodorant roll

You will experience significant temperature changes when traveling from outdoors, in airports and on airplanes. And with a multitude of toilets, you can reapply them whenever necessary.

Tissue

There are loads of things to use and tissues, or wet wipes, will be one of the things you want to have on hand before you actually have to use them.

Snacks

Airlines are constantly looking for ways to cut costs, and you can no longer count on them to provide you with enough snacks during the flight. So, prepare yourself, or friends, a little snack will not be superfluous.

A magazine

The reason you should choose a magazine over a book is because you can stuff it in your pocket without worrying about keeping it in good condition, like we usually do with a book. Plus, it’s much more interesting than the magazines available on the plane.

Headphone

Perhaps, this is the most important thing you should carry. Headphones will be needed when you are looking for something to drown out the sound of an airplane engine or the cry of a baby in the next row. Just make sure their charging case is filled with water before taking off.
