Cam Ranh Bayana Resort project in Khanh Hoa was fined VND 440 million

On the morning of June 6, the Inspector of Khanh Hoa Construction Department said that the decision to sanction Cam Ranh Bayana Co., Ltd. – the investor of the Cam Ranh Bayana Resort project with a scale of more than 8.4 hectares in the North of Cam Ranh peninsula (Cam Hai commune Dong, Cam Lam district) has just been implemented by Khanh Hoa People’s Committee.

This is one of the projects inspected by the Inspector of the Department of Construction on the construction order. During the inspection, the inspection team discovered that the investor had built many illegal works compared to the content construction permit granted by the Department of Construction in 2013, including: spa, bungalow, staff cafeteria – kitchen – laundry – warehouse, and many other construction items…

Pursuant to the provisions of Decree No. 16 in 2022 of the Government on sanctioning of administrative violations on construction, with a fine of 110 million VND for each violation. However, the fine level for the above acts is beyond the sanctioning competence of the Inspector of the Department of Construction, so this unit has proposed the Provincial People’s Committee to issue a sanctioning decision.

After issuing a sanctioning decision, the authorities forced Cam Ranh Bayana Co., Ltd. to comply with the order and procedures prescribed by the State for 90 days to adjust the construction permit for the violating items.

“In the event that the time is exceeded, but the investor has not yet adjusted the construction permit or overcome the violations, state agencies will take handling measures, including: forced illegal works”, said the Inspector of the Department of Construction.

Cam Ranh Bayana Resort project is more than 8.44ha wide, this place is a high-rise hotel, low-rise motel, villa, restaurant, sports club, entertainment and swimming pool.
