Insane scolding but parents don’t know they are the cause

Parents often sacrifice their best for their children and hope that they will grow up obedient, successful, knowing how to repay the kindness of birth. However, there are many cases, the older the child, the more stubborn, unruly, and difficult to teach, causing parents to exclaim: “Why are you so naughty?”. As for outsiders, when looking at it, they think this is a child who lacks education from parents.

Many parents lament that gentle parents do not understand why their children are insolent. But what the adults don’t know is that it’s very likely that you are the culprit behind those bad behaviors, if you’re still doing the following.

1. Surrender to the child’s bullying or begging

When going to a shopping mall or passing a restaurant, I suddenly like a toy (or food) and ask my parents to buy it for me. Before the children’s wishes, the adults refused. However, the baby rolled out crying or nagging or begging. And in the end, the parents have to give in and fulfill all their children’s requests.

Although when buying for the baby, many parents have set the condition: “Only this time, next time it won’t happen again”, but psychologists still think that this is a way to spoil the child. Children will find that bullying or begging is an effective way to get something done, and they certainly won’t change this behavior even if it’s rude or offensive or rude.

2. “Put” the child on the head

Children really need the attention of their parents, but if they are too protective and pampered, they will become a naughty child. When parents are always trying to meet all of their children’s needs, they are teaching their children to expect them. The child will feel he is the center, to be made himself. When they don’t get what they want, it’s easy to become sassy, angry, and destructive.

3. Forgive, cover for your child’s bad behavior

When children talk to other people, especially elders, they need to be polite. If you see your child acting rude to anyone, parents should correct it immediately, not make excuses.

Or when children go out in public, parents also need to teach their children to behave properly, politely and with culture. If you keep covering up a child’s bad behavior with the excuse: “They don’t know anything”, then adults will unknowingly spoil the child. Make sure you make it clear to your child from an early age that rudeness and insolence are never tolerated in the family.

4. Never let your child be sad or disappointed

Children have not learned how to control their own emotions, so when angry, sulky, frustrated… they will use “tears” as a weapon to express. In addition, there are some actions such as lying down, throwing toys, hitting others, stomping hands…

Just because they want their children to be happy, parents try their best to do what they want. Thus, adults have taught children the wrong way. Children who grow up in the overprotection of their parents, with all their needs met, they won’t learn to control their emotions and deal with disappointments on their own. Later, when going out in society, there are many things that cannot be done according to your will. At that time, I could not cry to solve everything, nor could I run back to ask for help.

5. Adults are often “oily” with children

Many people, because they love a child, often play with them. But when we are “oily” with the baby, for example, teasing too much, or saying inappropriate words (teasing father to get married, teaching children to lie, teaching children to talk nonsense with parents, calling children) the child’s parents and grandparents in a impolite manner)… the child will also imitate and behave in return. Because children can’t yet perceive those statements as sassy. Adults tease children too much to make them angry, children will also behave rudely.

6. Even adults behave inappropriately

“Don’t worry that your children won’t listen to you, worry that they are always watching you.” If parents treat everyone around them well, their children will too. On the other hand, if the parents speak badly of others, or use rude words to talk about someone, there is a high chance that the child will not be afraid to do the same to others.

Always remember that parents are the first and best role models for their children to follow. Everything a parent says and does can be reflected in the child’s behaviour.
