Lucky to escape death when playing near train tracks in Canada

The heart-stopping moment shows three young people lucky to have narrowly escaped death when the train was coming from behind.

The incident that happened on the Humber River railway bridge, Toronto, Canada made many people’s hearts flutter when reviewing the video recorded by the security camera. Three young people were playing on the railway track when suddenly the train came.

The train is owned by the Canadian shipping company Metrolinx. Two out of three young men apparently didn’t know the train was coming, they were playing nearby, and startled, they turned and ran along the tracks. A third young man was standing on another track, away from the train.

No one was injured in the incident, the three young men were lucky to save their lives. Video of the incident went viral on social media after being shared on the railway company’s Twitter account.

Steve Weir, Metrolinx’s director of traffic safety, said: “If you recognize these young people, please contact us. We are not punishing them but want to reprimand them for their reckless behaviour. unsafe for the 3 young people themselves and our staff.”

It is known that more than 100 Canadians are seriously injured or killed each year as a result of railway crossing incidents or trespasses.
