Opening the Son La Innovation and Startup Festival

Techfest Son La is organized to orient to promote the innovation and start-up ecosystem in association with exploiting local strengths. This is the first event in the series of national Techfest events in 2022.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Pham Hong Quat, Director of the Department of Market Development and Science and Technology Enterprise (Ministry of Science and Technology), said that Techfest Son La is a new point when bringing a new model to spread. at the national scale, big cities, provinces, Silicon valley (USA), other countries to localities.

He said the theme “Breaking through the middle of a thousand” is very suitable for the land full of potentials of people, nature and many endemic products recognized as geographical indications. “It’s an invaluable resource that needs to be added with innovation to become the focus of startups and success,” said Mr. Quat.

With the orientation of this year’s national Techfest, Mr. Pham Hong Quat expressed his wish that the provinces would form an innovation corridor and route with the countryside and land with the same conditions, culture and strengths, to create a new generation that can connect and share to build regional ecosystems, thereby competing with big countries.

Techfest Son La includes a series of connecting activities; In-depth dialogue between all levels, sectors, localities, organizations, experts and businesses on development orientation to solve the problem of output of agricultural products. Besides the ability to compete, master input; linking the state – scientists – entrepreneurs – farmers; spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship to solve problems of employment, security, social security and environment. Techfest Son La will introduce and promote the products of startup projects, typically Son La province.

Techfest Son La takes place in two days 4-5/6. Within the framework of the program, there was also a seminar “Attracting investment resources and supporting the development of innovative start-up ecosystem in Son La province” and two scientific seminars on the fields of agriculture, pharmaceuticals, tourism and education, promote ordering from units, promote digital transformation.

The festival also has a signing ceremony to develop the Son La startup ecosystem with the National Ecosystem and the final contest “Searching for creative startup talent in Son La province for the first time in 2022”.
