US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden were briefly evacuated to safety, from their vacation home in Rehoboth, Delaware.

According to US Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi, a private jet appeared to enter a restricted area where the president was and was asked to leave immediately. Guglielmi said authorities are still investigating the pilot of this plane.

“A preliminary investigation found that the pilot did not open the appropriate radio communication channel, did not follow the NOTAMS (notifying airline personnel about flight operations) regulations, and did not follow the flight instructions.” , Mr. Guglielmi said.

The incident happened at around 1 p.m. local time on June 4, causing chaos in downtown Rehoboth on a busy weekend. A US Secret Service official said precautionary security measures were in place and there was no significant threat to the president or his family.

Biden’s motorcade returned to his beach home after investigators concluded there was no longer a security threat.
