After a few months of remodeling, this train car has been renovated into a small house of 70m2, with a full living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, the couple sometimes live in, sometimes rent out. They have lived like this for 4 years, up to now.

Layout “train house”
From the outside, it looks like a long train carriage with outdoor pergolas and bathroom areas added to the sides.
The inside of the house is divided into three parts, the kitchen area in the front, the dining room in the middle and the bedroom in the back.
The house kept the shape of the wagon, but only redecorated some places, looking very distinctive.

Living room and dining table
In the house, the most important and spacious place is the integrated space of the living room and the dining room in the middle part.
Stepping into the space of the house, you can see that the old metal structure is still intact, because the paint on the previous wall has been peeled off, so Ivan and his wife have repainted the wall to increase the effectiveness of waterproofing and anti-corrosion. moisture, while helping it look cleaner.
Entering the living room through the narrow door, the scene in front of eyes suddenly became bright, all seats on the train carriage were basically removed and replaced with sofas, dining tables and chairs, vintage ceilings and floors. wood… overall looks quite fresh and bright.

The dining room and living room are connected to form an integrated space, the original chair at the end is retained and turned into a bench next to the dining table, together with the dining table forming a 4-seater dining set.

Indoor and outdoor kitchen area
The kitchen at home is divided into indoor and outdoor areas.
The kitchen in the house is a simple propane stove, can stew vegetables, boil water, cook some dishes, the tableware commonly used in the couple’s life is also stored in the cabinet, quite convenient to use. use.
The side table top also provides ample space for cutting and prepping food.

In addition to the kitchen for basic indoor cooking, there is also a large oven outside, which is also an outdoor grilling area, usually entertaining guests, some complex dishes and grilling will be made here.

The interior and exterior complement each other to make this train house kitchen fully functional.
Toilet and bathroom
The toilet and bathroom were both designed by one hand Daniela, it is extended on the platform of the carriage, with a wash basin on one side, a toilet on the other and a tall shower head installed in the middle.

The small toilet does not use the compostable toilet we usually see, but has a separate drain line, so the convenience is greatly improved.
There is also a large tub on the wooden deck outside the house where you can bathe and enjoy the views of the farm in nice weather.

The bedroom on the train car
The final area on the train car is the bedroom area.
From the living room to the back is a small relaxation area before entering the bedroom, where the old train seats from before.
Ivan shared that sitting on an old chair, basking in the sun, reading a book and getting some fresh air can make us feel like we’re back in that era, really comfortable.

The bedroom retains the original shape of the carriage, a double bed is installed in the middle for the couple to rest and sleep.

Other interesting places
With this train house as the center, there are many other interesting places around.
For example, in the outdoor kitchen mentioned earlier, a large homemade oven built by the couple with a stone fence, which can roast chicken and pizza, is very practical.

Under the extended shack, a hammock is hung, the couple often lies there, looking at the green grass in the meadow and then swinging, so romantic, isn’t it?

When night falls, warm lamps are lit in the house, creating a warm and comfortable family scene amidst the open natural surroundings.
