The land of Minion will open at Universal Studios Singapore in 2024

Land construction work minions – Minion Land, a new tourist attraction at Universal Studio Singapore (USS), was launched from May 26. This is one of a series of activities aimed at revitalizing the tourism industry in Singapore.

As part of a plan to revive Singapore’s tourism industry after the pandemic, the theme park is inspired by the movie franchise. Despicable Me is expected to open in 2024. This theme will replace the previous Madagascar theme.

Mr. Alvin Tan attended the groundbreaking ceremony on May 26.

Mr. Alvin Tan – Singapore’s Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, Culture, Community and Youth – said: “Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the USS welcomed about 4 million visitors annually. Through the cautious easing of restrictions and the reopening of tourism, I am optimistic and hopeful that when this attraction opens up, In 2024, Singapore will have more visitors to Sentosa Island, USS theme park and Minion Land.”.

This new amusement park will feature many new rides, including a world-first and exclusive to the USS. Details about this game are yet to be announced.

Minion Land will also offer visitors an immersive 3D motion simulator – Despicable Me Minion Mayhem. The game is also available at Universal Studios theme parks in Florida, Hollywood, Japan and Beijing. This amusement park will have restaurants, shops with Minion-themed food and items.

Construction of Minion Land will be carried out in line with sustainability efforts based on the Sentosa Sustainability roadmap announced in 2021. The roadmap aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions – raw The cause of global warming on the island will be reduced to zero by 2030.
