Previously, on May 19, the Drug Administration of Vietnam (Ministry of Health) issued a document suspending circulation and recalling a batch of unqualified cosmetics for Dr. Clean strawberry flavor (lot number: 088U1; production date October 23, 2021; expiry date: October 23, 2024) with the reason: Cosmetic products do not meet the quality requirements of the criterion “Preservatives group Isothiazolinon” according to the provisions of the ASEAN Cosmetic Harmonization Agreement and Circular No. 06/2011/TT-BYT dated January 25, 2011.
According to the Drug Administration of Vietnam, this product was suspended from circulation based on the test results of cosmetic samples sampled by the Central Institute of Drug Testing at Linh Giang cosmetic store (No. 26A Hang Duong, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi). City, Hanoi).

Mr. Thanh said, according to the test results of the Center for Experimental Analysis of Ho Chi Minh City on May 16, 2022, the criterion “Preservative of the Isothiazolinon group” of this product batch is still within the allowable threshold.

Then, on May 17, 2022, Today Cosmetics Joint Stock Company sent information about qualified testing to the Drug Administration of Vietnam, including the content of voluntary recall of the above product. According to Mr. Thanh, the company has recalled the product lot 088U1 at Linh Giang store and on May 19, 2022, it notified the system of distributors, agents, points of sale and supermarket system about the recall of the product. product Dr. Clean strawberry flavor (lot number: 088U1; production date October 23, 2021; expiry date: October 23, 2024).
“Currently, we are still complying with the request of the Drug Administration of Vietnam to recall the faulty shipment on the distribution system of channels, and will make a written recall report to the Drug Administration of Vietnam, The Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City and the Department of Health of Long An province before June 15, 2022. At the same time, we will coordinate with the authorities to handle the shipment in accordance with the law.”Mr. Thanh said.
Up to the morning of June 6, not only the batch of strawberry-flavored hand sanitizer products was suspended from circulation, but the entire batch of strawberry-flavored hand sanitizer products was recalled by this company at 42 stores. of Winmart with 249 bottles, 24 Co.op Mart stores with 393 bottles, 1 Big C store with 22 bottles.
After the recall, the company will classify the products that are suspended from circulation to seal and wait for the direction of the Drug Administration.
“At the supermarket systems, we have recalled nearly 500 bottles but have not found any products belonging to batch 088U1. Currently, we are still continuing to recall at supermarkets and stores if we detect a lot. 088U1 will make a report to report directly to the Drug Administration of Vietnam as well as the Inspector of the Department of Health.”Mr. Thanh said and said that one batch produced about 10,000 bottles, but there is still no specific statistics on the number of product recalls in batch 088U1.
For consumers who have purchased and are currently using Dr.Clean Strawberry Flavor in lot 088U1, Mr. Thanh suggested going to the nearest dealer to exchange for a new product and receive an extra product.
