Thua Thien Hue allows the operation of General Nguyen Chi Thanh Museum

On the afternoon of June 6, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province Nguyen Van Phuong handed over the decision to allow the operation of the General Nguyen Chi Thanh Museum. Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh – former Deputy Minister of National Defense, son of General Nguyen Chi Thanh, representative of the General’s family received the decision.

General Nguyen Chi Thanh Museum is a non-public museum operating at 144 Dang Thai Than, Thuan Hoa ward, Hue city. The museum operates in accordance with the provisions of Circular No. 18/2010/TT-BVHTTDL dated December 31, 2010 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, providing for the organization and operation of the museum and other relevant laws.

At the awarding ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong highly appreciated the efforts and urgency of General Nguyen Chi Thanh’s family in building the museum. Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong expressed his pleasure that in the province there is an additional institutional culture of non-public museums, contributing to enriching tourist destinations, being an address to educate revolutionary traditions, love homeland for young generations today and in the future.

Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province said that the province will continue to direct relevant units to support the General Nguyen Chi Thanh Museum in exhibition work, professional guidance, and links with museums in the province. , forming a system of destinations to attract people and tourists to learn about the background and revolutionary career of General Nguyen Chi Thanh, as well as the culture, history and revolution of the homeland of Thua Thien Hue.

It is expected that General Nguyen Chi Thanh Museum will open on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the death of General Nguyen Chi Thanh (July 6, 1967 – July 6, 2022).
