Aircraft Recycling in Japan

All Nippon Airways has started selling bags made from overalls once worn by its mechanics. By doing this, the company reuses more than 300 discarded work clothes each year.

According to All Nippon Airways, the fabrics of these suits are durable, making them ideal for recycling into sling bags.

Meanwhile, Japan Airlines is recycling expired life jackets, turning them into bags.

According to the Japanese Environment Ministry, only about a third of discarded clothing in Japan is recycled. And with this approach, the Japanese aviation industry wants to contribute in the effort to protect the environment.
