Established the first Logistics and E-commerce Training Center in the South region

With the strong growth rate of the Logistics and E-commerce industries, the development potential as well as the demand for human resources in the Logistics industry now and in the coming years is forecasted to grow more and more, especially in Vietnam. Mekong Delta region.

Meanwhile, according to statistics of the Vietnam Logistics Association (VLA), 13 provinces in the Mekong Delta currently have more than 1,461 enterprises providing logistics services (accounting for only 4.39% of the whole country).

Enterprises providing professional logistics services are very limited. According to the results of the Vietnam logistics report in 2021 published by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, it is forecast that the human resource demand for the logistics industry in the period 2021 – 2025 will be more than 1 million employees.

In the context of the scarcity of human resources in the logistics and e-commerce industry, in May 2022, Tra Vinh University established the Logistics and E-commerce Training Center with the support and appreciation of the Association of Development Vietnam Logistics Human Resources (Valoma) and Tra Vinh Economic Zone Management Board.

According to Tra Vinh University, this is the first Logistics and E-commerce training center in the southern region. The Center has its own legal status, seal and account, under the direct management of Tra Vinh University.

The Logistics and E-commerce training center develops based on 3 pillars including training, scientific research, and service provision related to the training field. Since then, providing high-quality human resources, scientific products, transferring technology to meet the development needs of society and gradually approaching international standards, contributing to improving the quality of training in order to meet the needs of society. proactively integrate internationally in the fields of logistics and e-commerce.

Tra Vinh University trains bachelor of economics majoring in logistics service management and e-commerce industry under the co-op model. This is a training model with the cooperation of enterprises, students will have time to practice as a real employee at the enterprise for at least 1/3 of the training program.

With the hands-on job right from school, graduates will accumulate rich work experience to confidently take on the job right after graduation.

In 2022, for the major in Logistics Service Management, the University will enroll students nationally and internationally under 2 programs: Logistics Service Management Program – co-op model; The Logistics Management program integrates an international certificate issued by the International Freight Forwarding Association (FIATA) and is valid worldwide.

The program is taught in English – Vietnamese bilingual, especially international certificate courses will be taught entirely in English with a team of lecturers who are senior managers from domestic and foreign enterprises. leading country in the field of logistics in Vietnam.
