Irina Shayk as a unique cocktail in Jean Paul Gaultier’s new marine collection-Fashion Trends
Summer on the French Riviera sounds like a dream: clear blue waters, white sandy beaches and stunning views. Add a bold new collection of supermodels Irina Shayk and Jean Paul Gaultier to the mix and you have the perfect cocktail for a glamorous summer campaign.
Shayk stars in Jean Paul Gaultier’s latest campaign shot by British photographer Charlotte Wales. Strolling the French Riviera, Shayk embodies a chic summer aesthetic in brightly colored Gaultier photographs.
Gaultier was recently transformed as creators stepped in to bring new light to the brand, introducing fresh ideas while honoring the fashion house’s roots. For this Ready-To-Wear collection, stylist Lotta Volkova blended slick 2000s sensuality with iconic 1994 Gaultier prints.
The new collection gives Jean Paul Gaultier’s classic designs a contemporary twist as Volkova uses Gaultier’s classic marniére knit and reimagines the banknote print from the Les Tatouages collection. Spring/Summer 1994 of the fashion house with three new bold prints.
Low-waisted denim with stretch seams and neon swimwear with hemline reminiscent of lingerie. Pareos are multi-faceted, rolled up like a skirt or wrapped around like a chic summer dress, and the cut is loose yet protective, perfect for a summer day in the sun. We may not be traveling to the French Riviera this summer, but we can still infuse Irina Shayk’s colorful summer aesthetic with Gaultier’s Ready-To-Wear collection.
