MacBook Pro M2 launched with the same design, priced from 1299 USD
Besides the MacBook Air M2, Apple also introduced the MacBook Pro M2 at the WWDC 2022 event. The new version has no design changes, instead only upgrading performance with the M2 chipset.
The MacBook Pro M2 will keep the design of the MacBook Pro line from 2016 with a 13.3-inch screen with thick borders, integrated Touch Bar and only 2 USB-C Thunderbolt ports, no MagSafe or HDMI.
The upgrade comes mainly from the M2 chip with a performance improvement of about 40% compared to its predecessor. The M2 chip on the new MacBook Pro will have 8 CPU cores and 10 GPU cores, supporting up to 24GB of RAM and 2TB of SSD memory. MacBook Pro will be equipped with a single cooling fan.
Battery life on the MacBook Pro M2 stays the same at 20 hours as announced by Apple. The device still comes with a 61W USB-C charger like its predecessors.
The price of the MacBook Pro M2 starts at 1299 USD unchanged.
