Besides the MacBook Air M2, Apple also introduced a version using the M2 chip of MacBook Pro 13 inches at the WWDC 2022 event taking place at dawn on June 7, Vietnam time.

It is known that the new M2 chip comes with 8 CPU cores and 10 GPU cores providing up to 25% better graphics performance with the same power consumption as M1. The chip also includes improved Neural Engine and Secure Enclave engines that promise 40% faster than its predecessor. Thanks to this power, the MacBook Pro M2 can run applications like Affinity Photo nearly 40% faster than the previous-generation MacBook Pro and up to 3.4 times faster for systems using chips from Intel.
With MacBook Pro New 13-inch, users can choose up to 24 GB RAM and up to 2 TB SSD. Apple says the new MacBook Pro also comes with an advanced image signal processor and studio-quality microphone to help deliver a great call experience. Zoom and FaceTime is better.
ProRes video encoding and decoding features are up to 3x faster on the new MacBook Pro. The product can support playback of up to 11 4K video streams and up to 2 8K ProRes video streams. Like the Mac models using the M1 chip, the new 13-inch MacBook Pro can only support a single external display at resolutions up to 6K/60 Hz.

Apple also upgraded the battery life on the new generation 13-inch MacBook Pro, when it can last up to 20 hours on a single charge while playing videos. Unlike other Apple MacBook Pro models, the 13-inch version retains the Touch Bar.
