New generation Chevrolet Bolt EV electric car with a sharp discount to increase competitiveness

Chevrolet has just had a discount on two electric models Bolt EV and EUV 2023 from more than 140 million VND in their home country.

While most car models tend to increase in price, even reaching a record, Chevrolet shocked when reducing the price of Bolt EV and EUV 2023 to 6,300 USD, equivalent to more than 144 million VND. The sharp price reduction of Chevrolet Bolt EV and EUV 2023 shows General Motors’ goal to boost sales of these two electric models after a gloomy 2021 due to recalls.

General Motors Corporation said that Chevrolet Bolt EV 2023 will have a starting price of 26,595 USD, equivalent to more than 610 million VND, including transportation fees and reduced by 5,900 USD, equivalent to 135 million VND compared to the 2022 version.

In the Bolt EUV 2023 model, the price is from 28,195 USD, equivalent to 648 million VND and sharply reduced by 6,300 USD, equivalent to nearly 145 million VND. The high-end version of Bolt EV 2LT also has a reduced price of 5,900 USD, equivalent to 135 million VND and has a new price starting from 29,595 USD, equivalent to 680 million VND. In a statement, a spokesman for General Motors said: “It is our desire that the Bolt EV/EUV be competitive in the market. As we said, price is always the biggest advantage of this car.”

There are no noticeable upgrades on the Bolt EV and the 2023 EUV. This means that this small car continues to be equipped with an electric motor for a maximum capacity of 200 horsepower. Bolt EV has an impressive range of 417 km per charge, this figure of Bolt EUV is 397 km. In this 2023 model year, Bolt EUV has an additional Redline Edition equipment package that adds red decorations and contrasting black wheels.

Information about electric car Bolt EV and EUV 2023 were announced just 2 months after Chevrolet resumed production of these vehicles. Previously, all Bolt EVs produced and sold worldwide had to be recalled due to the risk of fire. Specifically, the American automaker said that the battery pack equipped on the Chevrolet Bolt encountered an error from the manufacturer, which may short-circuit in the battery cell, thereby causing a fire in some cases.
