Initial investigation results show that, through Thai social networks, connect and go to Ms. B’s house in Ea Khăl commune, Ea H’leo district (Dak Lak) to buy 5-petal yellow apricot trees with a height of more than 3m. After coming to see, Thai took pictures and paid 60 million VND, but Ms. B did not sell.

Although she could not buy Ms. B.’s apricot tree, Thai still posted a picture of Ms. B.’s apricot tree on her personal page and sold it.

In April 2022, Mr. Pham Khac H (residing in Gia Nghia City) contacted Thai to buy this apricot tree for 70 million VND, Thai immediately agreed.

On April 25, 2022, Mr. H. transferred to Thai’s account an amount of VND 30 million as a deposit to buy precious apricot trees.

In addition to buying apricot trees, Mr. H. also asked Thai to buy some other ornamental plants. catching “prey”, Thai sent Mr. H. a picture of the purple confetti of Mr. NVH in Ea Hiao commune, Ea H’leo district. Mr. H. agreed to buy this bougainvillea for 42 million VND and continued to transfer 20 million VND to Thai to pay a deposit to buy the tree.

After receiving the money, Thai reasoned that the owner of the apricot tree asked to give enough money to dig the tree and asked Mr. H. to transfer another 20 million VND.

Receiving 70 million VND, Thai did not deliver the tree to Mr. H as agreed, but cut off all contact with Mr. H.

On May 28, 2022, Mr. H filed a denunciation of the whole incident to the police station. On May 29, Gia Nghia city police arrested Thai while hiding in a motel room in Ea H’leo district.
