On the morning of June 7, answering a question from Tien Phong about the reasons leading to the decision to vote to remove Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long and Mrs. Head of the Delegate Work Department under the National Assembly Standing Committee said that Mr. Long had some violations.

Specifically, Ms. Thanh informed that, according to the conclusions of the competent authorities, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long was irresponsible, loosed leadership, directed management, lacked inspection, supervision, intervention, and influence. , support Viet A company in the process of granting temporary and official circulation registration book; negotiate prices and check prices negotiate with test kits for the issuance of price notices for biological products, medical equipment to diagnose COVID-19.

From these acts, the competent authorities have concluded that Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long has degraded in political ideology, morality and lifestyle; violate the Party’s regulations and the State’s laws; violate regulations on things party members must not do, responsibility to set an example.

Mr. Long’s behavior has caused very serious consequences, causing great loss and waste of the state budget; affecting the protection and care of people’s health, causing frustration in society; influence and reduce the prestige of the party organization in which Mr. Long is the Secretary of the Personnel Committee as well as the prestige and failure to meet the standards as a member of the National Assembly and the position of Health Minister.

Previously, with majority approval, the National Assembly officially removed Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long from his position as a member of the National Assembly; and agreed to approve the Prime Minister’s proposal to remove him from the position of Minister of Health.
