The sad ending of Mrs. Nga ‘Love the sunny day’ in the original

Take on the role of the mother of two versions Love the sunny day are both veteran artists of the two countries’ cinema: Actor Kim Hae Sook and Meritorious Artist Thanh Quy.

In the original Mother Of Minethe “national mother” of the Korean screen Kim Hae Sook plays Park Sun Ja – a single mother who raised three daughters by herself, who thanks to the business of a small restaurant selling beef bone soup.

Like the Vietnamese version, Ms. Sun Ja still has to worry about her children because of the uncertainties in life. In the end, she did not enjoy the full happiness with her children because of the terrible cancer. She was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and had only three months to live. At the last moment of her life, she died in the arms of her three daughters.

This tearful detail is said to be too grim and cruel. Many comments suggest the ending of Love the sunny day and fearing that the director would keep the script, Ms. Nga (the meritorious artist Thanh Quy) would end up hurting viewers.

From a young age, Mrs. Nga was not respected by her mother-in-law. Happiness was not long, she became a widow, living alone with a noodle shop to raise three grown up daughters.

Even though she is a nag, or a narrator, Nga loves her children unconditionally. She takes care of Van Trang, considers her as her own child, and does not let her child suffer a day of deprivation or disadvantage.

With the eldest child Van Khanh, she loved her son who worked hard for her husband’s family but stayed up late, got up early to come home to help her with housework, take care of her grandchildren, and fulfill strange requests from her family. About the youngest child, she is always worried and loves children who are immature and unstable for their own life.

Up to this point, Mrs. Nga has not enjoyed a single day of joy. Experiencing many ups and downs without rest, the audience hopes that the Vietnamese version will have a suitable variation, Mrs. Nga will have a complete and happy ending.

“Love the sunny day” is a story with a long time amplitude, connecting from the past to the present. The film revolves around Mrs. Nga’s family and her three daughters, Van Khanh, Van Trang and Van Van – women and mothers of different generations. The girl of the past becomes the mother of today, the mother of the past becomes the grandmother now… There are times when women of different generations are in conflict, opposite, and arguing. But in the end, they always met at one point: the love, the need to protect, the desire to give the family what is complete and best.
