The US decided to confiscate 2 luxury planes of Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich

Follow The Guardian, The order issued by Federal Judge Sarah Cave is part of a series of sanctions from the United States and Western countries targeting Russian oligarchs.

At the request of federal agents, Judge Cave’s duties focused on a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner and a Gulfstream G650ER, privately owned by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich.

The Guardian Citing a statement from US Justice Department prosecutors, both jets flew to Russia in March of this year, violating exit restrictions imposed by the US on the President’s administration. Vladimir Putin since the Russia-Ukraine conflict broke out.

Mr. Adams added that the seizure order indicated that Russian billionaire Abramovic operated the two planes through a series of companies related to the European Settlement Trust, registered in Cyprus.

Mr. Roman Abramovich is the former owner of the famous English football club Chelsea. However, he had to sell the club soon after the conflict broke out in late February. The 55-year-old billionaire has not yet responded to the latest incident.
