According to a report by the Shanxi Institute of Archeology on June 7, the mausoleum 6.5 meters long, 5.4 meters wide and 9.8 meters deep was unearthed at the North Taosi cemetery. It dates to the late Spring and Autumn period (770 BC – 476 BC).

In the center of the ancient tomb is a decaying wooden coffin containing the remains of a woman in her 30s, with the skull of a fetus visible in her belly. The estimated gestational age is 8 months.

Head of the excavation team Wang Jingyan said the tomb was built of stone with a symbol that clearly revealed the identity of the owner. It belonged to the wife of Doctor Shi Da Fu, an aristocratic official at the time.
