Facebook, Google, and Microsoft have paid more than VND 4,000 billion in taxes

In the report just sent by the Ministry of Finance to the National Assembly deputies, Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phuc said that from 2018 to the end of April 2022, businesses providing cross-border services have declared and submitted to the Vietnamese tax authorities 5,111 billion dong, of which, Facebook, Google, and Microsoft have paid more than 4,500 billion dong of tax.

The Ministry of Finance believes that the rapid development of e-commerce has posed many challenges to tax administration such as: fully managing revenue sources; taxpayers; tax bases can be determined; clearly distinguish the type of income as the basis for taxation.
