Circular 04/2022/TT-BGTVT (effective from June 15, 2022) has adjusted the driving practice time in the car driver training program for classes B1, B2 and C as follows: :

It can be seen that the B1, B2, C class car driver training program has been adjusted to increase the time to practice learning on the road. At the same time reduce the time to practice on the driving field to ensure that the total number of hours of training remains the same.

Delay the time of learning to drive a car on a simulated cabin

Circular 01/2021/TT-BGTVT amending Circular 12/2017/TT-BGTVT has required driver training institutions to equip and use car learning cabins to train drivers from July 1, 2022.

However, Circular 04/2022/TT-BGTVT has postponed this deadline until December 31, 2022.

The reason given for delaying the use of simulated cabins in the car driver training program is due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, driver training institutions have financial difficulties. From there, affecting the production and assembly of equipment and testing and certifying the conformity of products according to technical regulations of the Ministry of Transport.

Accordingly, each student with a B1, B2, C license will be able to practice for 3 hours on the cabin of the driver’s training center, in case of upgrading, only need to learn 1 hour (upgrade from B1 automatically). If you move the number to B1, you don’t have to learn).

This is a new learning content for all students. Learning to drive a car in a simulated cabin will begin with basic exercises such as how to operate the car, practice uphill, perpendicular, and winding roads like a test exam.

Next, students will practice advanced exercises with driving skills on more complex terrains such as hilly roads, highways, city roads.

During the practice, the simulation software will give warnings when the driver is in the wrong lane, entering the pedestrian crossing, not wearing a seat belt, or in an accident. Weather developments such as sunshine, rain… will also be integrated in this software so that learners can improve their situational handling skills.
