Husband was exposed to adultery in an unexpected situation, until his wife divorced, he still didn’t understand why

When the wife was about to go to bed, she received a phone call from her husband and no one expected that call would change their lives forever.

The story of the wife named Rose was shared on the Whimn site recently about how she discovered her husband was having an affair.

“I’ve always liked to have time to myself, but lately I’ve had too much time. My husband Matt, 28 years old, works in finance and travels often for business. I miss him a lot, he always tries to make up for me.

One morning I came home to find a huge bouquet of lilies in front of my house. In the postcard was a gift from Matt.

Immediately, I called Matt a video call, he is in Singapore.

“Where did you get it from?” he asked as I held out the bouquet to show it off. “From you,” I replied with a smile. “I love this bouquet, even though you usually buy me roses,” she said. Her common name is Rose.

“Oh, I forgot,” he said, confused.

I laughed it off and expected Matt to come back a few days later, but he came back with the bad news that they wanted him to be a permanent consultant there. He explained that once a month he had to spend a week at the company’s headquarters in Singapore. It’s been tough going through this, but I know we can do it. Matt whispers softly, “You make sense” as I rest my head on his chest.

Over the next few months, I got used to having to live alone for a week while Matt was away on business. One night, as I was getting ready for bed, my phone rang, it was Matt. He video calls me. I pressed the answer button and the screen was still black.

“Hi?” I said and stared at the pitch black screen. I thought maybe he left his phone in his pocket and unfortunately touched the sensor in the right place and pressed to call me and then I laughed. “Matt! Hello!” I shouted into the speaker but there was no response. He didn’t hear anything.

Then suddenly I heard a woman’s voice say “You’re great” and Matt’s voice said “Let’s go to my apartment”.

Then the phone turned off. What can I do? My fingers are shaking, I call back but the calls go to voicemail. “I have to work overtime, honey. I’ll call you tomorrow,” a text from Matt pops up on my screen.

I called my friend Georgie and told me everything I heard. “You need more information, open his computer,” my friend said.

I have no trouble finding out in the phone bill Matt usually calls a number. Searching for that phone number on Facebook shows a profile of a woman named Lily. Her wall is full of pictures with my husband.

Opening his email, I found a receipt for flowers delivered in Singapore. “Lily for Lily,” I sobbed. That bouquet is not for me.

Realizing Matt was cheating, I knew I could never forgive him. With Georgie’s help, we packed all my things and I stayed in her apartment. I ignored Matt’s calls for the rest of the week. I never want to see his face again.

“What’s going on?” he texted. Then Georgie said it should be over. Then we went to a florist and bought a whole bunch of lilies and a red rose. Back in the apartment Matt and I used to live in, we threw lilies around the bedroom. Then I put the rose on the bed with a note underneath: “From your old flower to your new flower”.

I no longer receive calls or texts from Matt, other than calls to finalize the divorce proceedings. To this day, my ex-husband doesn’t know how I found out about his adultery.”
