– I think it’s my own focus, effort and consistency. During the competition, I maintained a diet of sweet potatoes and white rice while the other contestants could still comfortably enjoy Thai cuisine.

Before the finale, I still only ate sweet potatoes and white rice to keep my ideal body. Because, I think, although I have not really had the advantage of height, I am proud to keep my best appearance to “fight” with other contestants and to perform in front of the judges and audience. fake.

It is also the determination to overcome my own limits that I have done. Really, the result of being crowned Mister National Universe 2022 is more than my expectations.

How does being named Mister National Universe 2022 bring Ngo Hoang Phi Viet?

– It’s a feeling that I think I’ll never find again. I was so surprised that I was named in the Top 2. And in the moment of coronation, I broke down with emotions, I shouted: “Oh My Ghost” (laugh).

I did not expect that one day I would represent Vietnam and become the first Vietnamese to win when participating in Mister National Universe 2022.

I had a sleepless night after the coronation and received a “storm” of wishes from family, friends, and everyone, making the phone “explode”. And certainly, I would not have had the success I am now without the support and encouragement from family and friends… I would like to thank everyone!

If you say that you “just think I’m in the Top 2, Top 3”, does Ngo Hoang Phi Viet still have something unsatisfied, confident in himself to deserve the highest position at Mister National Universe 2022?

– Actually, being in Top 2, Top 3 at Mister National Universe 2022 is the rank I aim for in the early days of participating in this contest. When it comes to looks, I’m confident in expressing myself. However, I am not really good at other abilities such as using English. This is my second language and I have only really seriously studied English for more than a month before participating in the Mister National Universe 2022. Therefore, what I feel inferior to is my foreign language ability. I’m not really “smooth” like other contestants.

Therefore, I tried harder to express myself during the 9 days of participating in Mister National Universe 2022 in Thailand. Maybe, the plus points during the journey of “fighting” at the competition from the way I behave, get along with the contestants, confidently show my part… and a little luck helped me to achieve success. the highest score at this year’s Mister National Universe.

I appreciate the efforts and results I achieved when participating in this contest. This is also the first trip to Thailand that is full of value and meaning for me.

Have you been impressed and evaluated which contestant is your “most formidable” opponent at the Mister National Universe competition in the process of participating?

– In the Mister National Universe 2022 competition, there are many strong opponents. Each candidate has their own strengths. So, if I talk about candidates with factors such as confidence and good English communication ability, I will “vote” for the Thai representative. The second person, I am also quite impressed, is the contestant representing Turkey Ali Gerami won the 4th runner-up. This is a guy with a masculine beard with a rather cinematic face. Looking at this guy when he’s not smiling is enough to attract the opposite person.

In addition, the representative of Bhutan Prema Khandu Wangchuk – who won the 1st runner-up award also impressed me with his agility, good talking ability and muscular appearance. Those are the contestants I consider to be my “remarkable” opponents in this competition.

Looking back on the journey to participate in Mister National Universe 2022 until becoming the first Vietnamese to win this contest, how is Ngo Hoang Phi Viet’s behind-the-scenes training?

– To really have this achievement, I have to thank a teacher who is also a brother who has been with me for nearly 3 years, that is Mr. Nguyen Quyen. Especially during the time of preparing to participate in the competition Mister National Universe 2022, I ate, exercised according to a scientific and suitable regimen for myself under his guidance. This requires a lot of determination from yourself when following a diet of white rice, vegetables, chicken breast and these foods without spices.

There are days, I feel myself chewing chicken breast, chewing white rice unconsciously. And when you overcome your limits, the results will be as you want. Once again, I would like to thank the teacher and brother who helped me “transform” with the desired appearance so that I had the opportunity to shine when participating in Mister National Universe 2022.

Before getting the best version like now, did Ngo Hoang Phi Viet ever get bored and want to give up? At times like these, what do you do to regain your spirit?

– Giving up is not in my “dictionary”. Because, I am someone who, once I start to conquer a certain goal, I will not stop. Inevitably, there are times when I’m so tired and stressed that it seems I can’t stand it anymore… then I’ll think about why I started. Being depressed will take a lot of my own time, then I will encourage myself that there is only a little bit more to reach the peak of glory. And you need to work hard, try harder to achieve the goal, get the best performance.

– Currently, I am still single man. At the moment, I have many plans and intentions to fulfill, so I have not thought about love.

It may be unavoidable and difficult to predict, but I still want to focus on my career and work at this time. I think when I can take care of myself and my family, I can think about things like love and other hobbies. I want to build a solid career for myself.

Surely he also has his own standards for his “other half”. Who is the “dream girl” of the new Mister National Universe 2022?

– My “other half” does not set standards too high or too low. I would like to keep it to myself. When I have the grace to meet “the girl of my dreams”, I will let everyone know!
