At the beginning of September 2021, through the online dating application (Tinder) and some social networks, Thanh called himself “Hoang Duong” pretending to be a boy to ask for love and borrowed 115 million VND from a woman. new female.

Next, also with the name “Hoang Duong”, Thanh contacted the woman’s brother to borrow money to invest in cryptocurrency, promising to return it with high profits. After that, the man repeatedly transferred money to Thanh with a total amount of more than 4 billion VND.

Through verification and investigation, the Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention of Binh Duong Provincial Police identified and invited Thanh to work.

Through work, Thanh admitted that in addition to defrauding the two victims mentioned above, Thanh also cheated many other people with the amount of 10-100 million dong. After getting the victim’s money, Thanh transferred the money through 8 different bank accounts. Thanh also transferred about 1.65 billion VND to the victims to build trust. The amount Thanh appropriated was about 3.85 billion VND.
