After a beta period from April, Instagram is now starting to roll out the feature of pinning posts to all users.
Follow Engadget, Instagram’s new post pinning feature will let users bookmark posts they want others to see. When they pin an image or Story, that post will appear above the user’s profile page photo grid. It can display up to three pieces of pinned post content this way.
Users can pin up to 3 posts on Instagram for people to notice
To start pinning posts, users tap the three-dot icon above an individual post and then select “pin to your profile”.
Instagram’s rollout of post pinning comes at the same time as Facebook’s series of rollouts New feature for Reels – a short-form video service that competes with TikTok. Reels users can now add interactive stickers to individual clips and import their own sounds. Meta has also extended the maximum length of videos on Reels to 90 seconds.
Speaking of all the changes, Instagram head Adam Mosseri said they will make it easier for creators to interact and share their work with fans. He added that Instagram is looking at more ways to give users control over their profile pages.
