Mass car crashes in Berlin, 1 dead, dozens injured

According to Reuters, a Renault vehicle crashed into a crowd of pedestrians. The driver was immediately arrested.

Specifically, witnesses said, the incident happened at about 10:30 am in the street opposite the Kaiser Wilhelm church. As the flow of people was busy at the Breitscheidplatz shopping district, a car suddenly swerved onto the sidewalk, hitting a lot of people before getting stuck at a nearby store.

Immediately after the incident, Berlin police were on the scene to give first aid to the injured and arrest the driver. The case is still under investigation.
