More than 83,000 candidates only take the 2022 high school graduation exam just to consider graduation

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Kim Son, Minister of Education and Training, said that according to the plan, the high school graduation exam in 2022 will take place on July 7-8.

From now until the exam, there are only 4 weeks left, so Mr. Son suggested that the leaders of the provinces pay attention and coordinate to the fullest extent for the Departments of Education and Training in organizing and creating favorable conditions for students to review. accommodation, ensure traffic problems … to have the best preparation.

According to Mr. Son, the Ministry of Education and Training plans to organize the High School Graduation Exam in 2022, keeping the same method as 2021. As planned, the announcement of exam results will be on 24/7.

“The organization of the exam is old but still needs to be paid attention to, because this year’s candidates are still new and new parents,” said Mr. Son.

Regarding the construction of the exam question bank and the preparation of the exam questions, Mr. Le My Phong, Deputy Director of the Quality Management Department (Ministry of Education and Training) said that the Ministry has reviewed the matrix of exam questions. of all 15 exam subjects, ensuring that the exam content is in the high school curriculum, mainly in grade 12. The content of knowledge is simplified due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic in the 2019-2020 school years, 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 will not be included in this year’s exam questions.

According to Mr. Phong, the ministry also reviewed and completed the exam question bank, selected questions already in the exam question bank according to the matrix of the high school graduation exam in 2022 and added new questions.

By June 2022, it will basically ensure both quantity and quality to serve exam work; strictly implement measures to ensure security, safety and confidentiality at all stages, especially the selection and input of question data into the question bank.

With regard to exam question-making, the Ministry completes guidelines for the process of making exam questions to ensure objectivity and confidentiality to carry out the stages of drafting, appraising, and refining exam questions and answers; which clearly defines the responsibilities of the individuals participating in the exam-making council.

Regarding exam organization software, the Ministry of Education and Training has completed and upgraded software to support exam management and organization and information technology infrastructure to serve exam organization.

Through statistics, by 5:00 p.m. on June 5, the total number of registration forms for the exam on the system of the Ministry of Education and Training was 1,002,486. In which, the number of candidates taking exams for graduation and university and college admissions is 880,101 (87.8%).

The number of candidates who took the exam only to consider graduation was 83,196 (8.3%). The number of candidates (who have graduated from high school) only took the exam for admission to universities and colleges was 39,189 (accounting for 3.9%).

Thus, according to Mr. Phong, this year the number of candidates registered for the exam is lower than last year. Statistically, the number of candidates registered for the Social Science exam is also more than the number of registrations for the Natural Science exam – this is similar to last year.
