Responding to the International Blood Donor Day (June 14), the blood donation program “Summer of Kindness 2022” was organized by the Hanoi Blood Donor Campaigning Youth Association in collaboration with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion with the message “Million hearts – The same beat”.

As the epidemic is gradually being pushed back, the number of COVID-19 cases has decreased significantly, which also means that life has been returning to a “new normal” – the rhythm of life. freedom of action days.

But, besides that, there are still unfortunate and difficult lives that are fighting day and night with dangerous diseases. One of them is suffering from needle marks on his arm to receive voluntary blood drops to feed his body.

Tran Thi Thu Thao (National Economics University) expressed: “I have never donated blood and today is my first time donating blood, so I feel quite scared. This can be said to be a turning point that makes me stronger and I can contribute a part to the community.”

Each of us comes from different regions, has different blood types such as O, AB,… but all the people on the S-shaped strip of land have one thing in common. Vietnamese blood.

Truong Xuan Nhu (22 years old, Academy of Finance) shared: “I really like the feeling of being able to give what I can. Coming here, seeing the enthusiasm and dynamism of young people makes me feel more motivated and energetic to contribute to the society. Donating blood is both a gift and also very meaningful when every drop of blood that we give, will help more lives stay. Even though it’s a small action, I feel very happy because I can contribute a small part to make life better.”
