Before that, in the morning of the same day, Mr. Ho Van Thanh and his wife, Ms. Vi Thi Ly (both 36 years old, living in Dong Sang hamlet, Dong Hop commune) rowed a boat to the other side of the Hieu River, in the area of ​​Nghia Mai commune, Nghia district. Herd to mow the grass. After cutting, Mr. Thanh and his wife put the grass on the boat and rowed back. When the boat reached the middle of the river, it suddenly capsized.

Discovering the incident, some people nearby who discovered the incident rushed to save, but due to the distance from the shore, the whirlpool and deep water, they could only save Mr. Thanh, while Ms. Ly was swept away by the water and disappeared.

Upon receiving the news, the local government mobilized functional forces to coordinate with people to search for victims. By noon of the same day, Ms. Ly’s body was found.
