Local governments in southern China, including Guangdong and Guangxi, have stepped up emergency response efforts, issuing red warnings in response to this flood.
In many severely flooded localities, the rescue team divided into several small groups to approach each residential area to evacuate people. Many houses were half flooded, families were trapped on the second floor.
The Department of Maritime Safety in some cities has applied water traffic control measures to prevent danger from rapidly rising river water.
