Vietnamese startup Coin98 listed on Coinbase

According to information from Coinbase, this exchange will support the listing of two new cryptocurrencies, BitDAO (BIT) and Coin98 (C98).

Notably, this listing of Coinbase has the presence of Coin98. This is a startup about financial technology (Fintech) founded by a group of young Vietnamese people.

Coin98 Finance is a DeFi ecosystem (decentralized finance) with many products serving different needs from transaction, storage to management, lending, saving assets… Among them, the most prominent ones. and the best known is the Coin98 wallet with about 1 million users.

The listing of BIT and C98 will start at 9:00 am on June 7 Pacific time, equivalent to 23 hours on June 7 Vietnam time. Token C98 will be listed on Coinbase with 2 trading pairs, C98/USD and C98/USDT and launched in phases.

Previously, in April 2021, Coinbase shared information about cryptocurrencies being considered for listing on this exchange in the second quarter of this year. Among 50 projects considered for listing on Coinbase, Coin98 is the only Vietnamese representative.

Coinbase is currently the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the United States by trading volume. Therefore, being listed on Coinbase is a great success for the Vietnamese startup.

Sharing with VietNamNet, a representative of Coin98 said that Coinbase’s announcement that it would list C98 token is an important milestone in Coin98’s development journey.

“Coinbase is a large and reputable exchange, so the project verification process is very strict. This further confirms that our path is being recognized by the user community and big names in the world,” a Coin98 representative shared.

Coinbase currently has a huge global user base. According to a Coin98 representative, “Listing on this exchange helps users experience the Coin98 ecosystem, especially new features that will be released in the near future. This success of Coin98 will also contribute to bringing Vietnam to appear more on the world blockchain map.”

After 3 rounds of investment funding, startup Coin98 has raised a total of 16.5 million USD from many large investment funds, including the presence of Binance Labs. At one time, the total capitalization of C98 – the governance token of Coin98 exceeded the threshold of 1 billion USD.
