A resident of Odessa who provided the Russian military with information on the quantity and movement of military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as well as border checkpoints and detachments, was sentenced to 8 years in prison and confiscation of property.

It is reported that the man nicknamed Victor K has admitted all guilt, declaring regret for his actions.

The ruling of the Primorskyi District Court in Odessa stated that the defendant provided the Russian military with information about tanks, military trucks and multiple rocket launchers.

Victor K pointed out a soldier of the “Luhansk People’s Republic” named Koval, who was interested in the location of checkpoints in the Odessa area, especially in Zatoka.

It was in this area that there was a bridge over the mouth of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi river, on which the Russian army carried out 7 missile attacks.

“Victor K acted on purpose, having received information about the location of the checkpoints of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Territorial Defense Forces of Ukraine in the Odessa and Biliaivka districts, including the number of personnel who he passed it on to Koval,” the ruling stated.

At Koval’s request, Viktor K was also looking for like-minded residents of Odessa who supported the Russian action. He transmitted the information via Telegram messenger by voice message.

The man was also found guilty of illegally purchasing and possessing a Smooth Bore firearm and a hexogen explosive. He was arrested on March 17 and brought to court on May 4.
