Ms. Peng Tinh Hoa stated: “Currently, the city’s chain of transmission has been effectively contained, the secondary infections of the recent clusters are all cases in the isolation areas under observation… This has achieved phased results”.

The official’s statement came after Beijing said it had not recorded any COVID-19 cases outside the quarantine area for five consecutive days and that no new high-risk areas had been detected until now. the afternoon of 8/6.
