Coach Park Hang-seo bid farewell to Vietnamese football: Yes, there is tan!

After completing the emotional “golden mission” with U23 Vietnam at the 31st SEA Games at home, Coach Park Hang-seo seems to have a beautiful farewell to Vietnamese young football, so that he can focus dedication to the national team.

For more than 4 years since arriving in Vietnam, Mr. Park has led both the U23 team and the national team to a lot of success, in both regional and continental arenas.

However, he did not always go smoothly. With the splendid luggage of the SEA Games 30 gold medal in 2019, a staff of many stars spread across the lineup, plus a lot of expectations from the home fans, but failed immediately. From the group stage of the U23 Vietnam team in the U23 Asia final round 2020, Mr. Park is always concerned and more determined for the next goals.

Coach Park Hang-seo’s contract with the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) will expire on January 31, 2023, so the 2022 AFF Cup could be the last tournament that he is attached to Vietnamese football. When the workload and pressure at the U.23 team are gone, it is also the time when the Korean coach concentrates to the fullest towards a complete farewell. He thinks that stopping the 5-year journey will leave a feeling of regret, but that is common sense in football.

The Vietnam U23 team has officially no longer contributed Mr. Park as head coach, and next time it will also be Vietnam’s turn.

The Korean coach has created many historical milestones for Vietnamese football. “If there is a match, there will be a break, every fun will come to an end”, because that is the natural course of this life. Perhaps in the long future ahead, Vietnamese football fans will not forget their appreciation and respect for the great successes that Coach Park Hang-seo has done for the whole Vietnamese football scene.
