The Deputy Prime Minister explained that according to Resolution No. 29 of the Central Government on fundamental and comprehensive renovation of education and training, the general education program must ensure that students at lower secondary level have basic general knowledge, meet the requirements of strong streamlining after secondary school; High school students approach careers and prepare for quality post-secondary education.

At the basic education stage, History is still a compulsory subject with a duration of 280 lessons in the program from grades 4 to 9. At the career orientation stage of grades 10-12, History is in the complex. social science.
