Encountering a bomb on the Lam River weighing 340kg
On June 9, the Military Command of Thanh Chuong district has coordinated with the Engineers Department – Nghe An Provincial Military Command to successfully recover and destroy a bomb weighing about 340kg discovered on the Lam River.

Before that, on the morning of June 7, a group of divers fishing on the Lam River discovered a bomb with its detonator intact in the middle of the river, about 50m from the foot of the Used Bridge, at a depth of over 10m, in the block 2A, Thanh Chuong town.
After receiving the news, the Customs Department of Thanh Chuong district sent a force to guard and protect the scene, warning of dangers to people and surrounding boats.
Currently, the functional forces have carried out salvage, transportation to safe destruction at Khe Tram explosion site, Thanh Thuy commune, Thanh Chuong district.
