Johnny Depp may “remove debt” for Amber Heard, of course with conditions attached

In the first interviews since the noisy lawsuit between Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard, Depp’s lawyers Ben Chew and Camille Vasquez suddenly hinted at the idea that Heard might not have to pay $8.35 million ($194 billion) as the Court ruled.

Stephanopoulos, presenter Good Morning America (Good Morning America), asked: “You said that the purpose of the lawsuit is not to make Miss Heard go bankrupt. So is there any possibility of an agreement on damages?”

Chew replied that he could not disclose his private discussions with Depp, but insisted the lawsuit was “just to restore Depp’s honor, and he has already done it”.

When the interviewer tried to ask if Heard would drop the appeal, would Depp give up his claim, Chew insisted that he “had to be careful with what he said, but this is the case. It’s purely for Depp’s honor”, but money is not much of a concern to (Depp).

Depp’s two lawyers also said the actor was “extremely delighted” to hear the Court’s decision: “It was like the weight of the world had been lifted off his shoulders. And I feel that, finally, after six years, he’s got his life back.”

Depp’s legal team, especially the female lawyer Vasquez, became very popular after the lawsuit. Even Vasquez has just been promoted.

In short, Heard still owes Depp over $8 million right now, but since Depp doesn’t really care about the money, we’ll have to wait and see if Depp will cancel the claim if Heard decides to drop the appeal.
