Mr. Le Tung Van came to Ho Chi Minh City for identification, Long An Police summoned him to the locality

On June 7, the social network spread the information that “Grandfather Teacher” Le Tung Van (90 years old) – the head of the “Bong Lai Tranquility” or named “Meditation on the edge of the universe” (Lap Thanh hamlet, Hoa Khanh Tay commune, Duc Hoa district) – appeared in Ho Chi Minh City as a citizen ID with a chip.

Mr. Le Tung Van is one of 7 defendants in “Bong Lai Tinh Vien” who were prosecuted for “abusing democratic freedoms to infringe upon the interests of the state, organizations and individuals”. The other defendants were detained, and Mr. Le Tung Van was banned from leaving the place of residence.

Regarding this information, a representative of Long An Provincial Police confirmed that there was a case that Mr. Le Tung Van was banned from leaving his residence but appeared in Ho Chi Minh City. Immediately after receiving the information, the functional forces of Long An province brought Mr. Le Tung Van back to the locality.

This person added about the case of being banned from leaving the place of residence but still leaving the locality, the investigation agency will consider it, depending on the severity, it will change the prevention measures.

It is known that Mr. Le Tung Van, originally from Chau Doc, An Giang province. His registered place of permanent residence is house number 39C, Ly Chieu Hoang Street, Ward 10, District 6, Ho Chi Minh City. Since 2015, Mr. Le Tung Van has been living in “Bong Lai Pure Land” and has organized a number of illegal activities here.
