Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated U23 Vietnam on reaching the quarter-finals of U23 Asia 2022

Striker Nham Manh Dung and captain midfielder Bui Hoang Viet Anh were the ones who scored to help U23 Vietnam win a convincing 2-0 victory over Malaysia U23 in the last match of Group C of the AFC U23 Championship 2022.

This victory, combined with the fact that U23 Korea defeated U23 Thailand 1-0 in the match at the same time, helped U23 Vietnam officially win tickets to the knockout round of U23 Asia 2022.

After 3 matches in Group C, U23 Vietnam ranked second in the group with 5 points after drawing Thailand U23 2-2, drawing Korea U23 1-1 and defeating Malaysia U23 2-0. The top position belongs to Korea U23 with 7 points after 3 matches.

After the U23 Vietnam 2-0 U23 Malaysia match ended, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated U23 Vietnam on winning the right to the quarterfinals of U23 Asia 2022.
