Specifically in the US, the car is equipped with a turbocharged 1.6L 4-cylinder petrol engine, combined with an electric motor and a 14 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, with a total capacity of 261 horsepower and maximum torque of 350 Nm. .

The plug-in hybrid powertrain helps the Sorento PHEV consume only 2.97 liters per 100 km. If using only the electric motor, the car can go 52km on a single charge. Kia Sorento PHEV has the same design and configuration as the standard internal combustion engine version, but the price can be significantly higher.
