Thaispace, carrying the “cosmic dream” of Bau Thuy, has reduced its charter capital by more than 91% and changed its company model after 5 months of operation.
On December 29, 2021, the Board of Directors of Thaiholdings Joint Stock Company approved the capital contribution to establish Thaispace Joint Stock Company and business registration contents of Thaispace.
The birth of Thaispace is associated with the ambition to make the first space flight in Phu Quoc, Vietnam (if licensed by the regulatory authorities) in the period 2026 – 2030.
This investment strategy is said to be in line with the Prime Minister’s Decision 169/QD-TTg dated February 4, 2021 on the development and application of space science and technology until 2030.
Thaispace Joint Stock Company is headquartered at Group 8, Resettlement Area, Quarter 11, Duong Dong Ward, Phu Quoc with registered initial charter capital of VND 26,688 billion, shareholder structure includes Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuy contributed VND 20,016 billion, equivalent to 75% of charter capital; Ms. Nguyen Ngoc My Anh (daughter of elected Thuy) contributed 2,668.8 billion VND, equivalent to 10% of charter capital.
In addition to the main shareholder being Mr. Thuy’s father and son, Thaispace has another individual shareholder with 10% of capital and Thaiholdings joint stock company with 5% of charter capital.
Thaispace was registered for business on the last day of 2021, so far it is just over 5 months old but has undergone many changes.
The first is the change of the legal representative of the company. When newly established, the legal representative of the company was the general director of the company Nguyen Ngoc My Anh. Very soon, on February 18, 2022, this position was changed to Mr. Trinh Van Thiem.
Next, on May 13, Thaispace registered to reduce its charter capital to VND 2,274.9 billion, equivalent to a decrease of 91% after more than 5 months of operation.
Worth mentioning, the company’s operating model also changed from a Joint Stock Company to a Limited Company. The company has only 2 members, Thaiholdings Joint Stock Company, contributing VND 386.2 billion, accounting for 16.98% of contributed capital and Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuy contributing VND 1,888.6 billion, accounting for 83% of contributed capital.
